Motorcycle Repairs in Milford Haven
Welcome
MJS Motorcycle Services Ltd was founded in 1996 by Mike Simon (Mike the bike) who has been in the motorcycle trade since 1975.
After leaving college and working as a technical representative for a grass machinery firm, I moved to ER Williams Motorcycles in 1975. My first job was to rebuild a Triumph Bonneville that had over revved after an accident. We were selling mostly Japanese motorcycles along with Butaco, Ossa and Rickman off road bikes. We would build Rickman kits with BSA Triumph, Honda and Kawasaki engines. A wide range of second hand British bikes always made a change when it came to the workshop. We also worked on various other bikes such as the BMW Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Morini, Laverda, and KTM.
In fact, most bikes were catered for, as was fitting sidecars, this was another interesting job. I was riding in off road events in those days. After moving onto a partnership as Kawasaki dealers, I then moved to Haverford West dealers and then Mason Motorcycles where I worked for ten years. Since then I have started my own business as MJS Motorcycle Services Ltd. The main stay of the business was servicing and repairs on all types of motorcycles. Along with engine and gearbox rebuilds over the last few years, classic bikes seem to be a bigger part of the business as is renovation and restoration.
I am a member of the Vintage Motorcycle club and organise 2 or 3 social runs a year. I am always looking at ways of improving my own bikes. Making them faster with better braking, handling, and without losing tractability.
This is what motorcycles are all about, having fun, motorcycles have to be fun.
